On iOS 18 or later, you can add Open Shopping List or Scan a Barcode to Control Center, the Lock Screen, or the Action button on iPhones that have one.

  • Control Center: open Control Center, tap the plus button (+) at the top left, tap Add a Control, and search for Menu Planner 2.
  • Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, then Lock Screen. Tap the minus (−) on one of the buttons at the bottom to take it off, then tap the plus (+) in its place and choose the Menu Planner 2 control.
  • Action button: in the Settings app, tap Action Button, swipe to Controls, and choose the Menu Planner 2 control.

Open Shopping List opens your list in Menu Planner 2. Scan a Barcode opens the barcode scanner, to find a pantry item or add a new one.
