Open the item, tap the pencil button (Edit), then Keeping Count. Under Levels, set a Minimum and, if you like, a Warning level higher than it.

  • At or below Warning, the item shows as running low.
  • Below Minimum, an Automatic item goes on your shopping list — counting what your planned meals will use. An I'll Update It item is only marked below minimum.

For Automatic items, Package Holds is how much one package adds; it’s added when you clear the cart. If the label gives a different number of servings per package, a button such as Use the 12 servings per package sets it to that. If the item comes in other sizes, this is the usual size’s; each other size has its own, under Other Sizes. Things like flour and spices can be counted by Weight/Volume instead of Servings.

The Keeping Count row on an item’s edit screen only shows while Keep Count of What I Have is on in Settings → Keeping Count.
