Cups and spoons aren’t the same size everywhere. Nutrition totals, meal plan servings and pantry amounts all use the sizes chosen in Settings → Cups and Spoons. To get there, tap your picture at the top left, then Settings.

  • 240 ml cup · 15 ml tablespoon — the United States and Brazil.
  • 250 ml cup · 15 ml tablespoon — the UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, Europe and most other countries. In the UK and Ireland, pints and fluid ounces are imperial.
  • 250 ml cup · 20 ml tablespoon — Australia.
  • 200 ml cup · 15 ml tablespoon — Japan and South Korea.

Until you choose, the sizes for your device’s region are used. A teaspoon is 5 ml and a dessertspoon 10 ml in every choice. All your devices, and everyone in your household, get the same choice.

With anything but the US sizes, a recipe shows millilitres after an amount in cups, pints or fluid ounces, like 1 cup (250 mL). Unit lists put metric units first, and vitamins A and D show in µg, unless you use the US sizes on an iPhone set to the United States or to US measurements.
