When more than one person is eating the same meal, you can put it on each of their plans at once. Who’s Eating is there once you have more than one profile.
- On the Meals tab, open the day and tap ••• beside the meal’s name.
- Tap Who’s Eating….
- Tap each person who’s eating it, so they have a checkmark. Tap someone again to take them off.
- Tap the checkmark (or Done) to save.
Each person gets the meal on their own plan, with the same food and amounts. The meal’s card then says With and the others’ names. Tap that line to change who’s eating.
- Adding, deleting or reordering food, Make Fresh or Leftovers, the note and the meal type change for everyone. So do Move and Copy.
- Amounts are each person’s own, and count in their own nutrition. Tap a food’s amount to see everyone’s in Quick Edit, under Others Eating This.
- If you keep count of your food, a recipe is made once for everyone: Made It counts everyone’s servings, and Not Made takes it back for everyone.
To take someone off, open Who’s Eating and tap their name. The meal leaves their plan and stays on everyone else’s. Remove Meal asks whether to Remove for Everyone or Remove Just for the person whose plan you’re looking at. Once only one person is left, it’s an ordinary meal again.
On Home, a meal someone else is eating too says who. Tap Count Me Out to take yourself off it; the others keep it, and a message lets you Undo. In the list of days, a shared meal says With and the names after the meal type. On iPad, Week shows their pictures and Month shows a small two-people symbol.
If someone already has that meal planned with food in it, they keep theirs too, so they’ll have two. If theirs is empty, the shared meal goes into it.
