- On the Meals tab, tap a day. On iPhone the day opens on its own screen; on iPad it opens beside the list of days. In Week or Month, tapping a day takes you there (in Month, a day that already has meals shows them first — tap Edit Day).
- Tap one of your meal types, such as Breakfast or Dinner. Once the day has a meal, they’re under Add a Meal. The ones you usually plan on that day of the week come first, in bold. Tap More… to see the rest.
- Under the meal, tap Add food, then tap the foods and recipes you want. Tapping a food that’s already in the meal adds another serving.
On iPhone the foods open over the day. To fill another of the day’s meals, tap its name at the top. Tap the X (or Close) when you’re done. On iPad the foods open beside the day; tap Done when you’re finished.
Under the meal types are more ways to add: Templates adds a saved day or meal, and Suggest Meals suggests meals for the day. Day Options (•••) at the top → Add Meal Types… shows every meal type and template; if any of the meals you usually plan that day are missing, tap Add All there to add them at once.
You can also start from a recipe: open it and tap Add to Meal Plan at the top — if you don’t see it, tap More (•••) first. For a pantry item, tap Add to Meal on its page, or touch and hold it on the Kitchen tab. Pick the day, then the meal to add it to.
When the profile has nutrition goals, tap the up-and-down arrows above the food list and choose Fits What’s Left Today (or Tomorrow, or the day’s date). Foods that fit what’s left of the day’s goals come first, each with what one serving adds; foods that would go past a limit come last.
To add a note to a meal, like “Use up the spinach”, tap ••• beside the meal’s name and choose Add Note. The note shows under the meal’s name.
On iPad, you can drag a food from the list onto any meal.
