On the Kitchen tab, tap + and choose New Recipe, then pick how:

  • Enter Manually — type it in yourself.
  • From Camera — scan the pages of a cookbook.
  • From Photo — pull a recipe out of pictures you already have, up to 6 at a time.
  • From Pasted Text — paste a recipe copied from anywhere. Servings and prep and cook times at the top of the text are picked up too.
  • By Dictation — read it out loud. Only on devices with Apple Intelligence.
  • Find on the Web — search the web for a recipe, or paste a recipe’s web address, without leaving the app.
  • From Other Recipe Apps — bring over all your recipes from Paprika, Mela, Recipe Keeper and many other apps.

You can also share a web page, text, a photo or a PDF to Menu Planner 2 from another app. On iPad, you can drag a link, text, a picture or a PDF from an app beside Menu Planner 2 onto the Kitchen tab.

When your Kitchen is empty, it shows Find a Recipe on the Web and Import Recipes from Other Apps buttons.
