A recipe can show its amounts in the measures you use. Your recipe isn’t changed, only what’s shown.
- Open a recipe and tap the last button at the right of Ingredients (it looks like a list, a picture or a grid).
- Tap Show Amounts In and choose As Written, US Measures or Metric.
- Metric changes cups, pints, quarts, ounces, pounds and sticks of butter to milliliters and grams. US Measures changes milliliters and grams to cups, spoons, ounces and pounds. As Written shows the amounts the way the recipe was written.
- Teaspoons and tablespoons stay as they are, and amounts are rounded to what you can measure. Cups are the size chosen in Settings → Cups and Spoons.
- While amounts are changed, a line under Servings says so. Tap Show as Written to go back.
- Cook Mode uses the same choice.
Grams or milliliters: in Metric, an ingredient measured in cups shows in grams when it’s linked to a pantry item whose serving size has a weight, so you can use a kitchen scale. On the line under Servings that says how many are in grams, tap Change to choose Grams or Milliliters for each food. Your choice is used in every recipe. For a food with no weight, a weight found online is suggested (tap Use), or tap Edit Serving Size to add one.
You can also choose this in Settings → Recipe Display. It’s kept on each device.
